We are experiencing very high rates of viral illness in the community

This is putting significant pressure on our phone line capacity and our appointments, as well as impacting upon our staffing levels. The vast majority of coughs, colds, sore throats, vomiting and diarrhoeal illnesses are viral and need nothing more than time, rest, fluids and paracetamol.

If in doubt, you should of course contact the practice, but it is important that we try to preserve our service for those patients who really need our input.

In line with NHS Highland direction your GP will no longer be responsible for the delivery of vaccinations and immunisations effective 1st March 2023.

After 1 March 2023 all vaccinations will be Board run clinics held in the community. Patients eligible for vaccination will be invited via letter to attend or book the appointment.

Patients can direct questions about child or adult immunisations to the NHS Highland Service Delivery Centre (SDC) helpline: phone 08000 320 339, Mon-Fri, 9:30am-5:00pm. It is requested that patients wait for an appointment letter before calling the NHS Highland SDC to make an appointment.
