Waiting Well
Patients may experience a sense of ‘being in limbo’ while they wait for Specialist investigation or care.
We are keen to share three resources with you which may be of benefit during this period.
Firstly a ‘Health Inquiry Navigation Tool’, this is something we have put together at Cairn and may usefully answer some of the questions you have as you journey between primary and secondary care.
Alongside this, NHS Inform have created a hub of patient resources called ‘Waiting well’. This site has information to support your health and wellbeing, including information on your physical and mental health, as well as advice about practical issues like money worries. NHS Inform have also produced a leaflet “Waiting For NHS Treatment” which also provides additional information.
